NOTE: This article is only applicable to existing investors who have received revenue distributions prior to November 1st, 2023, AND have a connected wallet in the GigaStar Portfolio. If you started receiving distributions after this date, or if you've never connected a wallet, no action is required!
What Do I Do, If Anything?
Depending on the type of wallet you have connected, you may have to take action to accommodate the display of both USDC.e (old distributions), and USDC (upcoming distributions).
Wallets like MetaMask require you to manually import some tokens before they are visible, so you'll need to follow the steps outlined below. Other wallets automatically import tokens, so you may not have to do anything.
So....
- Did USDC (legacy, not new) automatically show up in your wallet after your first distribution was made?
- If the answer is yes check your wallet and make sure that those funds now show up as USDC.e, instead of USDC. If they do, there is no further action required from you.
- On the next potential distribution, which will be in USDC, the new token should also be automatically added and you should have a balance under USDC.e from previous distributions, and under USDC for the new distributions.
- Go to here to read about swapping your USDC.e to USDC.
- Did you have to add the USDC (legacy, not new) token manually to get it to show up in your wallet? Do your prior distributions not show up even though you have a wallet connected in the Portfolio? If yes, keep on reading.

Wallet Changes
At a high level, the changes that need to be made are as follows:
- Remove the existing token currently called USDC from your wallet;
- Re-add the token back using the new name (USDC.e);
- Add a new token called USDC to properly see your next distribution.
The instructions below will be specifically for MetaMask, but should be similar for any other wallets which require manual importing of tokens. If you have any issues following the instructions please click on the "Submit a Request" link on the top right and we can help! We will keep updating this article as new information on various wallets comes in.
