Connecting a wallet to the Portfolio

To connect a wallet, log into the Portfolio, click on your name on the top right, and select "Connect Wallet". You may also see a notification in the bell pointing you to connect a wallet.

 

If you don't already have a wallet, you can go to https://metamask.io and create one there. When going through the creation process, please make sure you save the recovery phrases. They are needed to recover your account if you forget your password, or to transfer your account between devices.

 

If you prefer a different wallet here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Whatever wallet you choose, make sure it supports the Polygon Network prior to connecting it, as that is the network GigaStar uses for minting the CRTs and distributing any potential future revenue in USDC. For a list of wallets that support Polygon, click here.
    • Make sure to enable the "Layer 2" filter on the left of the page to get the correct list of wallets!



  • After you connect a wallet, your CRTs and any distributed revenue will be associated with your wallet during the next distribution cycle, on or after the 25th of the month.
  • Not all wallets support displaying of CRTs. Your CRTs will always be visible in the Portfolio, and still associated with your wallet even if it doesn't display them.
    • To see if you wallet supports displaying them, click here and enable both the "Layer 2" filter as described above, and also the "NFT Support" filter.



    • Some wallets will automatically import the CRTs for you to view, others will require you to import them manually.

WALLET SPECIFIC INFORMATION

Tangem Wallet

Before connecting a Tangem wallet, you need to enable the USDC token on Polygon. Follow the instructions below:

  • Open the app and log in to your wallet;
  • Tap the three dots in the top right corner;
  • Select the desired wallet;
  • Go to the "Manage tokens" section;
  • In the search bar, type in "USDC", and toggle "Polygon" on;

  • Tap "Save" (you may be prompted to scan your card);
  • You can now connect your wallet by following the wallet connection wizard in the Portfolio.
